Job Description

A Learning Community Notre Dame High School, San Jose is the center for women's leadership in Silicon Valley and has provided an exceptional Catholic college preparatory education for young women since 1851. The school's mission is guided by the teachings of Saint Julie Billiart, the foundress of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, with a strong focus on social justice to create lifelong learners, spiritual seekers, justice advocates and community leaders. Our mission, summarized by the words of Saint Julie Billiart, is to "teach them what they need to know for life." This position This position tracks daily period-by-period attendance of students and provides continued coverage of the student health center by monitoring ill students until a parent/guardian arrives or student returns to class. This position may also be called upon to perform light office and organizational work for Co-Curricular program directors as needed.
Responsibilities:
Track daily period-by period attendance of students and assist in the preparation of a variety of attendance reports Process and verify student absence information from teachers. Make parent phone calls regarding student absences. Maintain accurate daily attendance records for emergency purposes Manage the process for sign-in/sign-out records and issue tardy slips Monitor ill students until a parent/guardian arrives or student returns to class Administer first aid as needed for minor injuries. Take ill student's temperature when appropriate Ensure safe storage of student medication along with proper authorization forms Ensure all student emergency information is up to date Perform a variety of clerical work, procuring supplies and interfacing within and outside of department
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor degree a plus Familiar with technology, including
Google Workplace/Apps and Microsoft Office CPR/First Aid Certified Preferred Qualifications:
