High School Responsibilities include: Provide visionary instructional leadership for grades 912 and foster a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement, and student success. Supervise and evaluate certified and non-certified staff in accordance with district expectations and Connecticut educator evaluation requirements. Lead curriculum implementation, instructional improvement, assessment practices, and professional learning initiatives. Utilize student achievement, attendance, behavioral, and school climate data to inform decision-making and improve outcomes for all learners. Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that addresses the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students. Prepare and manage the school budget and oversee the effective use of building resources, supplies, and facilities. Serve as a visible and accessible leader who fosters positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders. Communicate with the Superintendent, district leadership team, Board of Education, families, and community members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Connecticut Intermediate Administrator and Supervisor Certificate (092) required. Record of successful experience as a teacher and educational leader at the secondary level. Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and school improvement practices. Strong supervision, evaluation, coaching, and professional development skills. Experience utilizing data to drive instructional and organizational decision-making. Strong organizational, budgeting, and operational management skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with students, staff, families, and community stakeholders. Proficiency with educational technology and data management systems.
