We are a small and loving parish looking for an administrator to assist in the management of our church office. The Parish Administrator (PA) will support the clergy, staff, and congregation to manage the business of the parish. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, and a commitment to the mission and values of the Episcopal Church. Duties Manage the church office, including but not limited to; Answering phones calls, managing phone system, emails, mail distribution, and general correspondence Maintain church records, databases, and files, including membership and financial records Assemble, prepare, and print and/or publish the church's various publications: Sunday and other service bulletins, letters to parishioners, liturgical materials, e- newsletters, etc. Maintain regular correspondence with the Episcopal Southeast Diocese office and update the church's database and required filings (notice of hiring rector etc., Church Pension Group, Safe Church, etc.) Assist the vestry clerk in preparing reports for vestry meetings, annual reports, and diocesan requirements Coordinate scheduling for the rector, vestry, and church committees through zoom, online calendar, and website Coordinate scheduling of facilities for use by the church and outside community orgs Work with the treasurer and bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records and process invoices, donations, payroll, reimbursements etc., Maintain the church website and online communications (social media and other pages) Assist in promoting church programs and events through various communication channels Oversee the distribution and collection of keys Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the office and maintain the proper upkeep of the office environment (supplies, inventory, etc.,) Qualifications Experience in office administration General proficiency in gmail, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, google docs, Onedrive, calendar, and dropbox Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn other web-based programs such as Website software, Canva, etc. Familiarity with Episcopal Church traditions and governance is a plus We look forward to welcoming a dedicated church administrator to support the Church of the Advent!
