Slater Elementary School (PreK-5), Price Middle School (6-8) and Carver STEAM Academy (9-12). As a network of partner schools , we have the flexibility and autonomy similar to charter schools, but remain true neighborhood schools that serve every student in our attendance zone. Role & Responsibilities The Assistant Principal of Student Support sits on the School Leadership team at Price Middle School, reporting to the Principal. This person will drive student results by: Instructional Leadership & Talent Development (25%) Collaborate with the Principal and leadership team toestablishand execute a clear academic vision that advances student achievement. Support instructional excellence through classroom observations, coaching, and feedback aligned with PBSA's instructional framework. Participate in the supervision and evaluation of certified and classified personnel, promoting continuous professional growth. Lead the development and implementation of professional learning activities that improve instructional practice and student outcomes. Use data to inform decision-making,identifyareas of need, and design strategies to strengthen academic performance across content areas. Collaborate with instructional coaches and teacher leaders to ensure consistency and rigor in curriculum implementation and assessment. Culture, Climate & Student Support (25%) Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that reflects PBSA's core values of wholeness, excellence, ownership, learning, and community. Implement reflective, restorative, and responsible discipline practices to support student growth and behavior improvement. Coordinate campus supervision, safety, and security, including the implementation and maintenance of the School Safety Plan. Support the creation, communication, and enforcement of staff and student disciplinary policies. Serve as a visible leader throughout the school day to ensure a safe, supportive, and orderly environment conducive to learning. Operations, Systems & Leadership (25%) Partner with the Principal to support daily school operations, including schedules, attendance, substitute coverage, andlogistics. Participate in budget development and ensureappropriate fiscalmanagement of assigned funds and programs. Develop and manage school systems that improve efficiency, communication, and accountability. Identifyannualobjectivesfor extracurricular and athletic programs and ensure alignment with PBSA's whole-child mission. Maintainstrong communicationwith cluster and network staff to ensure effective collaboration and operational alignment. Family & Community Engagement (25%) Serve as a key liaison between the school, families, and community stakeholders to build trust and foster engagement. Communicate regularly and effectively with families about school programs, policies, and student success. Represent the school in meetings with APS, community organizations, and external partners. Support enrollment, recruitment, and family engagement efforts to strengthen the school's connection with the community. Promote a culture of shared ownership where families and community members are active partners in student learning and success. Qualifications All PBSA employees must have the belief that all children can learn, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in using technology, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Additionally, this person will need the following qualifications to be successful: Education & Certifications Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, ora relatedfieldrequired. Valid Georgia Professional Certification at Level 5 or higher in a teaching or service fieldrequired. Educational Leadership certificationrequiredor actively in progress. Experience & Key Skills Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching and/or leadership experience in a K-12 school setting. Demonstrated experience in instructional leadership, student support, and/or school operations. Experience supporting teacher development, school culture, and family engagement initiatives. Prior experience managing staff, school systems, or cross-functional teams preferred. Deep understanding of effective instructional practices, curriculum alignment, and data-driven decision making. Knowledge of restorative and responsive discipline practices, student support systems, and behavior interventions. Strong understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), including academic and behavioral components. Demonstratedskillin coaching and developing educators through feedback, professional learning, and collaboration. Ability to foster a positive school culture rooted in PBSA's core values of Wholeness, Excellence, Ownership, Learning, and Community. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple demands effectively. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and student information systems (e.g., Infinite Campus). Compensation and Benefits Purpose Built Schools offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary that credits an additional step relative to verified years of experience under Atlanta Public Schools policy. The salary range for this position is $96,432
