University Hall, 4225 University Ave, Columbus, GA 31907 Office of Admissions Purpose or Role of the Position. The Office of Admissions is seeking motivated and customer service-oriented student workers to support daily operations and recruitment initiatives. This position plays a vital role in engaging prospective students and families, maintaining a welcoming office environment, and assisting with campus visit experiences. Student workers serve as representatives of the university and are expected to demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills. Conduct student outreach through phone calls, text messaging, and email communication to prospective students and applicants; Provide guided campus tours of both Main Campus and RiverPark Campus, delivering accurate and engaging information about the university; Assist with admissions-related services, including application support and general inquiries; Serve as a front desk attendant by greeting visitors, answering questions, and directing guests appropriately; Support recruitment events, including open houses, accepted student programs, and other special events (some weekends required); Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office and shared spaces; Perform additional administrative or operational tasks as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
Current enrollment as a student at Columbus State University; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Customer service-focused with a friendly and professional demeanor; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service, leadership, or campus involvement. $12/hourly. Federal Work-Study (FWS) pay rates are based on the type of job, responsibilities, and skills required. Pay is set within the university¿s student wage guidelines and follows federal and state minimum wage laws.
