Jun 04, 2026 7:07 PM (UTC) Job Description 2.0 FTE IGNITE Associates These positions are 12 month positions. The Online High School Associate supports students, teachers, and administrators in a virtual learning environment. This role ensures students stay engaged, complete coursework, and receive the academic and technical support needed to succeed in an online high school program. Key Responsibilities Student Support Monitor student attendance and participation in online classes Provide guidance and encouragement to help students stay on track Assist students with navigating learning platforms (LMS, video tools, assignments) Offer academic support or connect students with teachers/tutors when needed Track student progress and flag concerns (attendance, grades, engagement) Instructional Support Assist teachers with managing virtual classrooms Help prepare and upload course materials Support live sessions (manage chat, attendance, breakout rooms, etc.) Ensure assignments and assessments are organized and accessible Administrative Duties Maintain accurate student records and data Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress or issues Respond to emails and messages in a timely manner Assist with scheduling, reporting, and documentation Technical Support Help troubleshoot basic technology issues for students and staff Ensure students can access digital tools and platforms Coordinate with IT support when needed Required Qualifications High school diploma or associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) Strong computer and technology skills Experience with online learning platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Canvas, Zoom, Teams) Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Key Skills Communication & interpersonal skills Organization and attention to detail Problem-solving Time management Adaptability in a virtual environment Work Environment Remote or hybrid setting Regular use of computers and online platforms May require flexible hours depending on student needs Travel may be to provide in-person support or deliver equipment
