Qualifications Previous years experience as an administrative assistant for an executive-level corporate or educational administrator or Principal. Ability to work in a highly confidential environment. Excellent computer skills using Google Suite, Skyward, PowerSchool, Schoology, Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Gmail and other office software. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and be attentive to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. A demonstrated high level of accuracy, dependability, and organization. Must advocate, collaborate, empathize, innovate, adapt, learn, and embrace diversity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not all inclusive) Prepares written communication on behalf of the Principal. Prepares and maintains records and reports as necessary (could include, but is not limited to: budgets, P-card reconciliation, form submission, travel forms and arrangements, reimbursement paperwork, etc.) Assists in managing incoming and outgoing communications from the School, including telephone calls, mail, and welcoming visitors. Coordinates the Principal's calendar, as needed. Schedules facilities for meetings, as needed. Orders and manages supplies, technology, and materials pertaining to the operation of the Main Office. Prepares and maintains confidential information pertaining to employees, including evaluations, interview packages, emergency contact information, etc. Manages short and long-term projects. Assists in the staff evaluation process. Maintains the school newsletter. Maintains familiarity with the organizational structure, departmental functions, policies and procedures of the school district and educational laws. Coordinates Main Office Support Personnel. Serves as liaison between Staff and HR Department as needed. All other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys and electronic media. Ability to write professional communications. Ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from individuals and groups. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community members. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to maintain current job skills as directed, especially in technology-related activities. Ability to perform essential duties with an awareness of school district requirements and School Board policies. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. In addition, the ability to withstand long-term use of video display terminals (VDT) is required. The employee may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds such as reference books. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The pace of work tasks would be considered as fast. Work is usually conducted at one job site, however, on occasion, this employee will be required to attend meetings, conferences, or workshops and events at other sites as assigned.Direct Questions To:
