AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan. Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment. Assists in the recruitment and hiring of school and District employees/administrators. Oversees the direct supervision of principals, conducts annual performance appraisals, and makes recommendations for appropriate employment action. Assists principals and departments in identifying program needs, materials, and equipment. Provides administrators with updated information and research pertinent to the operation of the schools. Monitors organizational patterns and scheduling of staff at schools. Visits schools including classroom visitations on a regular basis and assists in the building program at the school level. Monitors the performance of students and provides a structure and environment in which learning and student achievement is the prime focus. Monitors articulation of instructional programs. Monitors enrollment projections for staffing and FTE estimations. Serves as a liaison between parents, principals and the District wide staff to assist with the resolution of issues. Prepares and oversees the preparation of all required reports and maintains appropriate records. Assists in the development of district-wide goals, objectives, and procedures. Provides input in the process of district budget development.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree from an accredited college or university Illinois State Board of Education Type 75 Administrative Certificate Minimum of three years of successful and progressively responsible experience in public school administration.

Outstanding skills in writing, speaking and listening. Understanding of and experience with diversity of cultures and race.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
