Description:
Collaborate with Principal to oversee and assist staff, students, and parents Knowledge and skills to improve instructional skills of staff Understanding of and ability to improve student learning and achievement Knowledge and administration of IAR preferred Knowledge of special education programs and services Knowledge of the MTSS process Maintain confidentiality of private, protected information when interacting with students, parents, staff and community members Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to interpret data; develop and implement improvement plans, monitor and adjust plans to increase student learning and achievement Assist with the interpretation of school policies and procedures for students, parents, staff and community members Maintain a strong level of knowledge regarding educational law, best practices as it pertains to managing a caseload of general education and special education students Perform other duties as assigned by the
Principal Qualifications:
State of Illinois Professional Educator License registered in Will County/Region 56 General Administrative or Principal endorsement Minimum of 5 years of previous administrative or teaching experience at the elementary level is preferred Familiarity with the Danielson Framework for evaluation and certified as an evaluator using the state approves modules ELL and/or LBSI endorsement preferred Experience with IEP Plus is preferred
