Jun 15, 2026 Job Description Starting 2026•2027 School Year Administrator•Year Round Schedule PURPOSE Serves as an educational leader who guides instructional services necessary to educate all students to high standards. This includes students with credit deficiencies, emotional needs, and behavioral needs. Ensures all students meet Indiana's Academic Standards and are aligned with federal, state, and district requirements, laws, and regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Valid Indiana teaching license and administrator license for assigned grade levels Documented knowledge of district-used data systems and the ability to analyze and synthesize data Knowledge of effective instructional practices, including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction to guide staff in serving a diverse student population
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Meet all definitions and guidelines for effective administrators as detailed on the RISE Principal Effectiveness Rubric from the IDOE. Promote the success of every student, including those with credit deficiencies, emotional needs, and behavioral needs, by developing and implementing a shared vision for teaching and learning. Advocate, nurture, and sustain a school culture and instructional program that supports diverse learners and professional growth for staff. Ensure effective management of organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient, and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with comprehensive high schools, faculty, families, and community members, responding to diverse needs and mobilizing resources to support all students. Implement and support de-escalation strategies and restorative practices to address behavioral challenges, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff. Ensure all students have clear pathways to graduation in accordance with Indiana requirements, including mastery of the Indiana Graduation Pathways, Schools of Success, and other state-endorsed programs. Understand, respond to, and influence the political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context impacting students and staff. Adhere to FWCS policies, procedures, and all local, state, and national guidelines. Perform related duties as assigned by the Director of School Climate & Culture, designee, or Superintendent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
To perform the essential functions of this job effectively and safely, employees must meet the following physical qualifications:

Ability to speak clearly and hear effectively in various environments.

Adeptness in the use of hands and fingers.
Postural Endurance:
Sit or stand for prolonged periods, as the job requires.
Flexibility:
Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, or crouch to perform specific duties.
Visual Acuity:
Close vision ability with the capacity to adjust focus.
Mobility:
Freedom to sit or walk at will throughout the work environment.
Strength and Stamina:
Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to twenty (25) pounds or more.
Outdoor Work:
Tolerance of work outside in various weather conditions.
Working Conditions:
School-based assignments with possible travel between buildings. Frequent Interactions with students with significant behavioral needs. May involve supporting students in crisis situations in accordance with FWCS guidelines. FWCS will reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
