(NW-FORN-IUNWA) Job Summary Department Specific Responsibilities Serves as primary administrative support across multiple academic departments, including Modern Languages, English, and Arts & Sciences, ensuring consistent and efficient delivery of shared services Coordinates and standardizes front-facing student service functions across departments, including intake, inquiries, scheduling, and communications. Provides direct operational support to the Student Success Center, assisting with student engagement initiatives, retention efforts, and program coordination Collaborates with faculty, academic advisors, and campus partners to support student success initiatives, including tracking student needs, coordinating referrals, and assisting with follow-up communications. Manages departmental logistics, including scheduling meetings, coordinating events, maintaining shared calendars, and securing space for academic and student-focused activities. Assists in monitoring and maintaining departmental records, student engagement data, and reporting metrics to support continuous improvement in student services delivery. Supports cross-functional initiatives that align with campus student success goals, including participation in outreach efforts, workshops, and student programming. Provides backup support across departments to ensure continuity of operations during peak periods or staff absences. General Responsibilities Assists with administrative needs related to the daily operations, planning, and implementation of various or multiple student services initiatives. Performs duties such as attending a front desk, answering phones and emails, and delivering messages and mail. Serves as a liaison to campus partners for cross-departmental student services initiatives, providing information, securing space reservations, scheduling planning meetings, and providing necessary documentation. Provides assistance to student participants, stakeholders, faculty, and/or staff; acts as a resource by analyzing information, providing documentation, and preparing reports. Accurately maintains electronic records and databases. Provides directions, support, and information to student organization representatives and other visitors to the department. Assists with daily scheduling, training, and gathering of student feedback. May prepare and disseminate handouts, presentations, or other materials. May assist with ordering or creation of promotional materials for student organizations or departmental needs. May provide guidance to other Student Services Coordinators. Qualifications Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.EDUCATION
Required High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED). Preferred Bachelors degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.WORK EXPERIENCE
Required 2 years of experience in an office environment, higher education, or a related field. Preferred Experience working in a higher education environment, particularly within academic departments or student services functions. Experience supporting multiple departments or functional areas in a shared services or centralized support model. Experience working with student success initiatives, advising support, or retention-focused programs. Familiarity with university systems (e.g., student information systems, CRM tools, or similar platforms) and data tracking/reporting. Experience coordinating events, workshops, or student engagement activities.LICESNSES AND CERTIFICATES

Analytical skills to track, interpret, and report on student engagement or service metrics. Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn institutional systems. Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
