POSITION SUMMARY
Assists the principal, as a member of the administrative team, in leading the school community toward a safe and positive learning environment in which students, staff, and the larger community have and achieve high expectations for success.
DUTIES:
Provide leadership for instruction and school improvement as directed by the principal. Oversee day to day responsibilities for discipline, student supervision, staff evaluation, and school operations as assigned by the principal Confer with counselors and teachers to assist students in successfully completing requirements for graduation. Communicate student issues with parents in a timely manner. Coordinate smaller learning community organization and/or other similar activities as assigned. Assist in the implementation and supervision of extra-curricular activities. Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community. Other tasks and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree; Administration Certification; Experience working with diverse populations. Prior administrative experience. Experience working with community agencies and groups. Experience with the day-to-day operation of schools. Strong knowledge of child development. Demonstrated skill in building relationships, trust and respect; Creative and imaginative approach to problems. Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups; strong speaking and writing abilities. Bilingual Spanish, Bicultural, Biliterate preferred.
