Job Description
This position will oversee all aspects of the athletic programs that are sponsored by the school or corporation. This includes hiring coaches, ordering equipment, promoting events and supervise sports personnel. Duties may include but not be limited to:
MANAGEMENT OF ATHLETIC EVENTS
Schedule athletic events within district policies, regulations and guidelines. Supervise athletic events. Manage balanced, competitive and complete schedules for each sport. Obtain and manage a signed contract for each event. Cancel and reschedule events due to weather or other factors. Communicate cancelled and rescheduled events.Manage events:
assign workers, half-time events. Help coach with planning supplemental events such as Senior Night or Hall of Fame. Manage set up and tear down for each event. Collaborate with parent and athlete for individual schedules etc. (Gymnastics, Golf, Swimming, etc.). Create and manage a transportation schedule and coordinate with Director of Transportation. Manage officials for all home events and maintain official's locker room. Arrange for appropriate security at events. Coordinate Awards Programs and Pep Sessions and order awards and certificates. Attend major away events including state tournament play and most varsity conference play. Manage Rosters. Create event programs. Create and maintain practice schedules.SUPERVISING AND EVALUATING
Assist site administrators in conducting annual reviews, hiring and creating professional development plans for coaching staff members. Conduct meetings and keep coaches abreast of current IHSAA regulations. Manage IHSAA required coach certifications and CPR/first aid training.MAINTAINING BUDGETS
Purchase uniforms. Oversee purchases of equipment and supplies. Organize annual fund raisers. Seek out corporate sponsorships.Manage concession stand:
inventory, shopping, stocking and working the stand. Work with Booster Club where applicable. Submit a year-end financial report on athletic fund to central office. Manage athletic worker payroll.PUBLIC RELATIONS
Communicate game and practice schedules with parents and community - using online resources such as Remind and Eventlink. Create winter sports program to use at varsity basketball games. Create and maintain social media relevant to athletics.ATHLETIC ORGANIZATIONS MEMBERSHIP RESPONSIBILITES
Attend PCC meetings, IHSAA meetings and Sectional meetings. AttendIHSAA AD
Workshop. Administer all school district interscholastic policies and procedures as well as the Rules and By-Laws of the IHSAA. Complete required PCC and IHSAA rosters and forms per varsity sport. Update IHSAA website information including coach contact. Manage IHSAA Athletic transfers. Complete IHSAA Officials survey. Oversee completion of IHSAA coaches' surveys.STUDENT ATHLETE MANAGEMENT
Maintain a permanent file of medical examinations, insurance forms, records, parent consent forms, insurance payments, emergency treatment forms, etc. for each participating athlete. Manage student academic progress for eligibility. Manage student athlete discipline according to EPCSC Athletic Policy. Coordinate and facilitate student athlete leadership councils and events. Maintain athletic handbook. Manage and assist with conflict resolution.OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain permanent records for each sport, such as wins and losses, outstanding records, letter winners, etc. Manage and supervise the maintenance, care and improvements of athletic fields and facilities. Assist with lunch time supervision. Assist with minor discipline (no suspensions or expulsions). Lead/represent school in absence of other administration. Assist with PBIS incentives (particularly in middle school). Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Reports to:

Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior administrative, teaching or sports management experience preferred. Prior athletic administrative experience preferred. Prior varsity coaching experience preferred. Possession of the desire to help people learn and grow. Physical/Mental Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-heldRequirements:
