Oldham County High School Position Summary Oldham County High School seeks a dynamic, systems-oriented instructional leader to serve as Assistant Principal. The successful candidate will partner with the principal and leadership team to advance a culture of continuous improvement for approximately 1,550 students. This role places particular emphasis on designing and sustaining structures that promote student success, deepen post-secondary readiness, and support the whole student through mentorship and relationship-building. Key Responsibilities Systems Design & Student Success Develop, implement, and monitor school-wide systems — including multi-tiered supports (MTSS), data-informed intervention cycles, and collaborative PLC structures — that drive measurable gains in student achievement. Lead 45-day improvement cycles using building- and classroom-level data to identify gaps, adjust instruction, and track progress.
Preferred:
Experience in a leadership or administrative role at the high school level. Familiarity with PLC frameworks, MTSS structures, and data-driven improvement cycles. Experience supporting CTE pathways, dual credit programs, or academy-model structures. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus. Assistant Principal•High School Job Goal:

Compensation will be determined by the Superintendent based on 210 contract days and appropriate board-approved salary schedule.Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Kentucky Teaching and Secondary Principal Certificate. Three years of successful teaching experience. Experience as department chairman or other administrative experience desired.Performance Responsibilities:
Assist Principal in developing and implementing School Improvement Plan, resulting in measurable improvement in student performance results. Assist the principal in daily administration of the school. Supervise athletic and academic events. Assumes primary responsibility for enforcing the uniform code of conduct from Board policy and school rules for student conduct. Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance and works with the district Director of Pupil Personnel on investigative follow-up actions. In conjunction with the district safety and disaster coordinators, conducts safety inspections and fire and disaster drills. Maintains school records and files all reports as may be required pursuant to safety inspections, fire and disaster drills. Assist the principal in evaluating the job performance of specified certified/classified staff, including conducting teacher goal conferences, classroom visits and post observation conferences as assigned by the principal and in accordance with Board policy. Meets and serves with parent, faculty, and student groups as needed to advance school and district goals. Performs such record keeping functions as the principal may direct. Responsible for overall direction of daily cafeteria supervision. Responsible to direct school textbook/student fee procedures pursuant to Board policy and file district reports. Responsible for overall direction of Saturday School/Detention. Coordinates and assures compliance with Board Policy procurement of furniture/equipment pursuant to approved budget appropriations. Serves as the Principal's designee (SBARC Chair) and provides school level direction for Special Education. Assumes responsibility as chief administrator for the school in the absence of the Principal. Supervises the maintenance and operation of the school plant, equipment and supplies. Coordinates all academic competition. Coordinates Southern Association accreditation. Perform necessary medical-related services for students who have been determined by their physician to need such services, upon written delegation of the responsibilities and proper training by the District Nurse. Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the principal may assign.Adopted:
