Job Description

Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities Provide office support, manage student tutoring, oversee the Blackburn Makerspace Lab, monitor student assessment forms. Greet students, answer phones, and provide responses to general inquiries. Assist with tutoring coordination for Student Support Services. Respond to requests, match students with tutors, and monitor tutoring participation. Maintain tutor documentation and follow-up with students on missed tutoring sessions. Oversee the Blackburn Makerspace Lab, Schedule student assistants to cover the lab during open hours, maintain necessary supplies for the lab, monitor and track guests of makerspace lab, and maintain calendar. Assist with checking the room out when available to interested parties. Monitor the needs assessment form, graduate questionnaire, interest in educational events and graduate school trips. Contact the participants that have not completed the forms. Assist with student outreach related to required serves, track participants, support student engagement outreach, and assist with program communications. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education Requirements High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements One year of general office or clerical experience. College education may be exchanged year-for-year experience. Bookkeeping may be required. Alertness, memory for oral and written directions and details. Ability to plan and make decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Keyboarding, filing, MS Office Suite programs, and office procedures. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. Physical Demands Normal for office environment. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
