Job Description
Summary The Department Head is responsible for increasing segment sales and customer and employee satisfaction by coordinating and monitoring department sales, operations and personnel development activities. Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent required
AND:
a minimum of 3 years of external related industry experience, OR a minimum of 3 years of progressive internal experience, including some applicable sales experience in the specific segment. Must possess basic computer skills; intermediate skills preferred. Must possess product knowledge, leadership and delegation skills and experience. Must pass company required drug screen and physical and background screening. Must maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel to Coburn's customer and company branch locations. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs.; must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead. Occasionally works with small tools and equipment. Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention. Warehouse environment. Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required. A consistent presence at work is required. Tier 3 & 4 department heads must also meet the requirements for Inside/Counter Sales and Warehouse Driver Positions. Age & Licensing Requirements Must be a minimum age of 21 years old and maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel to Coburn's customer and company branch locations. In order to operate a forklift, the operator must be a minimum age of 18 years old and successfully complete Coburn's Forklift Operator Certification. This position must successfully complete Coburn's Forklift Evaluator Certification. Tier 3 & 4 department heads must also meet the requirements for Non-CDL or CDL Driver when using the company vehicle for company business.Non-CDL Drivers :
Drivers of vehicles that are transporting material intrastate [1] , with a GVWR of 26,000 pounds or less are required to be a minimum age of 21 years old and licensed as follows: Texas- personal driver's license with medical card. Mississippi & Tennessee
- Class D license with medical card. Louisiana
- Chauffer's license (Class D) with medical card.
CDL Drivers :
A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required for drivers who operate vehicles that cross the state line (interstate) in a company-owned vehicle, or who operate vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more. CDL drivers must be a minimum age of 25 years old.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory Control Monitor the stocking levels and proper handling of inventory in order to maintain profitability and provide Coburn's exceptional level of customer service, with no injuries, near misses or damaged product.Focus Area:
Performance Measure:
