Job Description
The Quabbin Regional School District is seeking an Assistant Principal Gr. 8-9 to assist in the planning, administration, and evaluation of functions necessary for the operation of the Quabbin Regional Middle/High School.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree required
Minimum of five years of teaching and 5 years of leadership experience in grades 7-12 preferred
Valid Massachusetts Dept.
of Elementary & Secondary Education Assistant Principal/Principal or Director license or a comprable Administrator's License
Requisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to plan, supervise, and evaluate the work of others based on individual strengths and weaknesses, and to guide their professional growth.
Possess extensive knowledge of the curriculum and instructional program including content and methodologies
Ability to analyze, interpret and utilize data
Experience leading quality professional development
Demonstrated ability to use research based practices that results in higher student achievement.
Ability to plan, supervise, and evaluate the work of others based on individual strengths and weaknesses, and to guide their professional growth.
Knowledge of current curriculum and instructional practices and trends
Knowledge of public school administration and organization and the support activities required
Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate appropriate instructional and operational support programs
Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community; and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Foster an equitable and inclusive school environment where all students feel safe, valued, respected, and connected to the school community.
Work proactively with middle school students to support emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and positive peer relationships during a critical stage of adolescent development
Collaborate with counselors, support staff, and families to develop interventions and supports that address both behavioral and social-emotional needs
