Key Responsibilities (Aligned to DESE Framework) I. Instructional Leadership Lead rigorous, standards-based instruction aligned to MA Curriculum Frameworks Strengthen evidence-based early literacy and numeracy practices Implement and continuously refine school-wide MTSS (academic, behavioral, SEL) Establish and monitor tiered intervention systems Lead regular data cycles and student support team meetings Promote culturally responsive teaching and high expectations Supervise and evaluate educators using the MA Evaluation Framework Facilitate professional learning communities focused on measurable student growth II. Management & Operations Oversee daily school operations, safety planning, and scheduling Align staffing and resources to support MTSS implementation Manage school budget Ensure compliance with special education, 504, and English learner regulations Maintain a safe, orderly, welcoming, and restorative learning environment III. Family & Community Engagement Partner with families and community members to elevate all voices Communicate proactively about student progress and supports Support family understanding of MTSS and intervention systems IV. Professional Culture Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing staff culture Build staff capacity in differentiated instruction and inclusive practices Recruit, develop, and retain diverse and qualified talent Foster shared leadership through instructional and student support teams
