Job Description
A Head of School is responsible for the overall leadership and management of Calhoun Christian School, guiding its strategic direction and ensuring its academic and operational success. This role serves as the primary liaison between the school and its community, representing the institution to faculty, students, parents, and the board of directors. By articulating and upholding the school's mission and values, the Head of School cultivates a positive and effective learning environment. They oversee key areas such as curriculum development, financial management, and admissions, ensuring that all facets of the school align with its established goals. Through their leadership, the Head of School ensures the institution's long-term health and growth, shaping the school's culture and its impact on the community. Duties and Responsibilities Direct the institution's long-range strategic planning process to foster organizational growth and development. Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of the school's comprehensive academic curriculum. Manage the school's budget and financial operations, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with all relevant regulations. Lead all faculty and staff management, including recruitment, professional development, and performance evaluation. Act as the primary representative of the school to all stakeholders, including parents, alumni, and the wider community. Ensure institutional compliance with all educational, legal, and regulatory requirements. Spearhead fundraising and development initiatives to secure the long-term financial health of the institution. Establish and maintain policies that promote student well-being and a positive, safe learning culture.
