Approximately 300 students/grades
K-5 LENGTH OF CONTRACT
41 week base contract year
QUALIFICATIONS
Possess or be eligible for a valid Michigan Administrator's Certificate with an Elementary & Secondary Administrator K-12 (ES) Endorsement. An approved School Administrator Permit with concurrent enrollment in an approved school administrator preparation program may be accepted. Possess a Master's Degree or Specialists Degree in Educational Leadership Minimum of three years teaching experience, preferably in grades K-5 Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support for Academics and Behavior Experience with District literacy initiatives and associated assessments Experience in continuous improvement and school improvement processes Knowledge of age appropriate developmental needs of elementary students Experience working with students who receive Special Education services Experience in handling student discipline; Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) Experience in curriculum, instruction, and assessment, providing professional development to staff, and integrated interdisciplinary learning Knowledge of group process/team development to collaboratively solve problems Experience in conducting staff observations and evaluation (preferably 5D)
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for overall administration of the building Responsible for supervision and performance evaluations of staff Provides instructional leadership to staff Demonstrates leadership, communication, and people skills Assists in the development, revision, and evaluation of the curriculum Scheduling, student supervision, and student behavior management Serves as liaison in communications regarding special education, data processing, and staff and parent information processes Serves as liaison with parent and community groups Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned Candidates must be available to attend interviews for the position during the week of June 1, 2026.
