To provide leadership, general and direct supervision, coordination, and implementation of Student Support Service programs for which this position has direct overall responsibility. The supervisor will work with students, educators, and families birth through 5th grade. FTE/Hours per

Qualifications:

A Minnesota Special Education teaching or related services license is required A Minnesota Special Education Director's license or a Principal's license is required Three years of supervisory and coordination experience in special education or a closely related field is preferred Three years of special education teaching or related service experience is preferred

Salary/Wage Information:

As per the CSS Terms and Conditions (attached), $112,569 - $121,675 is the salary range. A generous insurance plan is including medical, dental, vision, life and LTD insurance. We also offer a 3.5% 403b employer match.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Coordination and Supervision of Early Childhood Special Education Coordination and supervision of the Early Childhood Special Education program. Plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and regularly evaluate all ECSE programs, personnel, facilities, services, and resources in a manner that consistently meets the needs of eligible students. Directs, supervises, and develops paraprofessional and support staff and is responsible for their selection, work assignments, evaluation, work procedures, and training. Serves as the District and community liaison for the program, seeking and fostering coordination, partnerships, and integration of the program into appropriate community agencies and organizations serving children age birth to age five, to ensure maximum use of community resources with minimal duplication of services. Ensures compliance with all state and federal guidelines and procedures, including due process. Plans and conducts workshops and in-service as appropriate. Manages the ECSE program budgets, ensuring the timely and accurate communication of budget information to those who need to know it and approving all program financial transactions according to established policies. Coordinates the purchases of all equipment and supplies required by the Early Childhood Special Education program. Prepares comprehensive federal, state, and department reports. Attends IFSP/IEP and assessment conferences as an administrative designee as needed. Plans and conducts regularly scheduled program and staff meetings. Program Coordination and Supervision of Select Elementary Special Education Programs Plans, develops, coordinates, implements, and regularly evaluates assigned special education programs, personnel, facilities, curriculum, services, and resources in a manner that consistently meets the needs of learners and their families. Directs and supervises assigned staff and is responsible for their selection, work assignment, training/development, evaluation, and other personnel-related actions. Coordinates and facilitates due process proceedings. Actively participates in the coordination of special education extended school year (ESY) programs. Establishes and maintains collaborative relations between District 834 and partner agencies and oversees the work of contracted services staff. Assists building Principals and Assistant Director in the recruitment, assignment, supervision, training, and evaluation of special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists. Communication Initiates, develops, and maintains appropriate communication with program staff, District staff, program participants, and partner agencies to exchange information and troubleshoot problems. Oversees the planning and development of parent information meetings. Plans and conducts regularly scheduled program and staff meetings. Assists in the completion of the annual summary report on special education programs and makes recommendations for improvement. Special Projects Participates in professional organizations and maintains professional expertise. Performs other job-related duties as requested or assigned.
