AP Operations N-CHS Reports to: Principal
Salary:
State salary schedule plus local supplement
Licensure:
Master's degree with a major in educational leadership and/ or school administration North Carolina Principal's License

Duties:
Assist in the management of the operations at N-CHS Make appropriate periodic reports to the Superintendent or designee on operational progress in the schools. Assist in the direct management of day-to-day operations at N-CHS. Provide after-hours supervision for extracurricular activities and school events. Handles behavioral and discipline matters; coordinates and partners with the Principal or other Assistant Principal as needed for all levels of discipline, interventions, and investigations. Observes and evaluates teachers in their classrooms. Supervises and helps coordinate safety inspections and safety drills. Collects data and provides reports. Foresees potential logistical problems and proactively addresses them. Evaluates the school's physical and logistical needs and provides recommendations. Coordinate transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services. Facilitates concerns of parents, students, and staff related to custodial, cafeteria, or pupil transportation. Assists in recruitment, screening, hiring, training, and assigning of department personnel. Maintains confidentiality. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills. Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies. Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal
Qualifications:
Ability to interact effectively with employees, students, parents, and community stakeholders. Strong commitment to integrity and equity in all situations Willingness to work hard and commitment to excellence in all tasks Ability to analyze and synthesize data Knowledge of operational areas Developing a master schedule. Ability to work closely and positively with students, parents, and communities of all socioeconomic classes, racial/ethnic groups, and students with special needs in student development, both academic and social; knowledge and sensitivity to diversity issues. Considerable skill in improving the climate of a school by increasing student achievement and preventing disciplinary problems. Ability to assess the performance of all staff; considerable ability to perform performance evaluations of both probationary and tenured teachers and other licensed staff in accordance with State law and district policy. Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills. Basic use of computers. The skill and ability to communicate - both orally and in writing
