Job Description

Gilford Middle School Assistant Principal (5-8) 2026-27 School YearGilford Middle School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Assistant Principal to join our middle school leadership team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educational leader who is committed to fostering a positive school culture, building strong relationships with learners, and supporting high levels of academic and behavioral success for all students.

The School District seeks a dedicated, learner-centered leader who: Serves as a strong instructional leader and collaborates with teachers to improve teaching and learning Demonstrates experience with Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS) and uses data to inform decisions and interventions Promotes restorative practices to support student behavior and build a respectful, inclusive school community Builds strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and families Supports a safe, supportive, and engaging school environment Oversees school operations, including building-wide scheduling and student management Supports middle school curriculum and competency-based education aligned with district goals Provides coaching, feedback, and professional development to support staff growthCompensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including: Health, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance Paid leave Retirement and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:
Masters degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field New Hampshire Assistant Principal Certification Minimum of 35 years of successful teaching experience Prior leadership or administrative experience preferred Knowledge of middle-level education and adolescent development Experience with staff supervision, evaluation, and student disciplineApplication RequirementsApplication packet should include: Updated resume Three letters of reference Official transcripts Copy of certification
