Student Success Splst,Sr Requisition ID req37064 Working Title Student Success Splst,Sr Position Grade 12 Position Summary El Centro de la Raza works to positively impact students' transition, retention, and graduation through an engaging environment built on academic, cultural, personal, and professional activities. El Centro houses several programs focused on recruitment, retention, and graduation for all students, weaving culturally responsive practices which benefit Chicanx/Latine/Raza students and historically underrepresented students. El Centro seeks a bilingual (Spanish & English), approachable, energetic, and detail-oriented individual to join the team. This position will primarily be responsible for supporting El Centro's programmatic efforts, which entails leading the planning and execution of signature events, workshops, and activities as well as providing services aimed at recruiting, retaining & enriching the academic experience of Hispanic and other historically underrepresented students. This individual will also be responsible for providing student consultations ranging from admissions, financial aid, scholarships, as well as general academic and professional guidance. This position is multifaceted and contributes to El Centro's overall goals and initiatives designed to ensure that students are successful. This individual will work closely with the El Centro team to: Coordinate and execute signature El Centro events, including Raza Junta, Raza Stoling Ceremony, and other departmental initiatives. Provide individualized consultations and guidance to current and prospective students and their families regarding admissions, enrollment, financial aid, scholarships, academic success strategies, graduate school preparation, and campus resources. Plan, coordinate, implement, and assess student success initiatives, workshops, presentations, leadership opportunities, cultural events, and educational activities that promote recruitment, retention, and graduation. Support students through academic, personal, and professional development by connecting them with university services, leadership opportunities, and programs that promote student success. Maintain student and program records utilizing university databases and systems while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with institutional policies. Collect, analyze, and interpret student participation and program outcome data to support assessment, reporting, and continuous program improvement. Serve as an advocate for Hispanic/Latine/Raza and other historically underrepresented students by helping them navigate university systems, policies, and processes. Assist undocumented students, mixed-status families, and students eligible under New Mexico Senate Bill 582 (2005) in understanding and accessing educational opportunities and resources. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with campus departments, community organizations, and external partners to enhance support services and opportunities for students. Assist with grant-funded initiatives, fundraising activities, reporting requirements, and other special projects that support departmental goals and student success outcomes. Participate in departmental strategic planning, program development, assessment activities, and data-informed decision-making processes. Participate in the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, scheduling, and evaluation of student staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Status Non-Exempt Pay Hourly:
