- Education reimbursement and partnerships About the Role The Assistant Principal serves as a key member of the campus leadership team, partnering closely with the Head of School and/or Principal to ensure excellence across all aspects of school operations, academics, and community engagement.
This role is both strategic and hands-on, supporting the day-to-day management of the campus while helping drive long-term goals related to enrollment, staff development, and student outcomes. The Assistant Principal plays a critical role in maintaining a high-quality educational environment by supporting teachers, engaging families, and ensuring operational consistency. You will act as a visible leader on campus, helping to foster a culture that is safe, nurturing, academically rigorous, and aligned with Merryhill's standards of excellence.
What We're Looking For Minimum of:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field
- 2+ years in a school leadership, supervisory, or administrative role
- 3+ years of teaching experience Demonstrated ability to:
- Coach and develop teachers to improve instructional outcomes
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment
- Build strong relationships with families, students, and staff
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and well-organized campus
Preferred:
- Experience in a private or independent school setting
