Commensurate with experience and qualifications Position Summary The Goshen Central School District is seeking a highly qualified and collaborative Assistant Pupil Personnel Director to support the oversight and coordination of student support services across the district. This position works closely with the Director of Pupil Personnel Services to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while promoting equitable, student-centered practices. Key Responsibilities Assist in the administration and supervision of special education programs and services Support the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Section 504 processes, including meetings, placements, and compliance Collaborate with building administrators, counselors, psychologists, social workers, and related service providers Monitor compliance with
IDEA, NYSED
regulations, and district policies Assist with student attendance, residency, discipline, and alternative placement matters as assigned Support data collection, reporting, and program evaluation Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and outside agencies Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Pupil Personnel Services Required Qualifications New York State Certification in School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) Strong knowledge of special education law and regulations (IDEA, Article 89, Section 504) Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills Experience working in K-12 educational settings Preferred Qualifications Administrative experience in pupil personnel services or special education Experience chairing CSE meetings Familiarity with NYSED reporting systems and compliance procedures Application Process Interested candidates should submit: A letter of interest Resume Proof of NYS certification Three professional references Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
