JOB DESCRIPTION
Administration and Supervision of WEMOCO Career and Technical Programs and Staff.

TYPICAL DUTIES
: Leadership Collaborate with administrative team on CTE department goals, objectives, and new initiatives Supervise assigned staff and programs Use labor market data and feedback from industry partners to guide decisions Use CTE performance data and Perkins indicators to guide decisions Participate on agency wide committees Participate in CTE professional organizations Collaborate with component district administration as needed Instruction Participate in development and evaluation of educational programs through the
NYSED CTE
program approval process as well as other local processes Assist in interviewing, selecting, and orienting new staff Observe employee performance, record observations, and conduct evaluation conferences Assist with planning, facilitating and/or recommending professional development opportunities for staff Student Management Assist in implementing policies and procedures that maintain a supportive, safe, healthy, orderly learning and working environment as reflected in the student handbook Help to develop a student discipline management system that results in positive student behavior Ensure that school rules are uniformly enforced and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable Monitor and address staff needs in regard to student supervision and management Conduct conferences on student and school issues with parents, students, teachers and district or community partners when applicable Additional duties may be assigned based on the skills, experiences or interests of the selected candidate Manage day-to-day building operations and daily communications Assist in the coordination of building level safety drills Coordinate student transportation, including but not limited to: communication with district transportation directors, approvals for fieldtrips, student driving/parking privileges and passes Collaborate with administrative team on budget, Perkins spending, grants, donations, etc. Recruit, hire and onboard staff Coordinate student and department wide events (Open House, CTE Expo, Recognition Ceremony) Supervise coordination of Career and Technical Education Student Organizations and attend (as schedule permits) Regional, state, and/or National Competitions and recognition events Supervise reporting and monitoring of student attendance and work with attendance clerk on follow-up Manage CTE summer programs Assist in the coordination of student scholarships and/or awards Coordinate CTE outreach efforts Test/certification coordinator Dual enrollment liaison with local colleges Lead MTSS and other student support initiatives Monitor implementation of IEPs, 504s and other individual student support plans Liaison to PPS directors and Department for Exceptional Children Lead specific staff clusters such as Health Office, Clerical, WBL, Counseling or Instructional Specialists Additional duties as assigned by Principal
QUALIFICATIONS
: Valid NYS Certification School Building or District Leader Certification (SBL or SDL) or equivalent No less than five (5) years' experience in an educational setting (high school preferred) Leadership experience preferred
