Superintendent River Valley School District - Blairsville, PA The River Valley School District is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic educational leader for the position of Superintendent, with an anticipated appointment date of October 2026 . The district serves approximately 1,400 students in grades K-12. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader who can effectively engage with students, staff, families, and the community while demonstrating a strong commitment to student achievement and well-being. The Superintendent will foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Attributes:

Demonstrated leadership experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to motivate, support, and evaluate staff effectively Knowledge of current educational trends, best practices, and state/federal regulations Experience in strategic planning, curriculum development, and data-driven decision-making Record of fiscal responsibility and effective budget management Experience in workforce development, including building partnerships with local businesses, industry, and community organizations to support career pathways and student readiness Commitment to equity, student success, and community engagement

Requirements:

Pennsylvania Letter of Eligibility (required) All required Pennsylvania clearances and certifications, including: Act 24 (PDE Arrest/Conviction Report) Act 34 (PA State Police Criminal Record Check) Act 151 (PA Child Abuse Clearance) FBI Fingerprints (dated within one year) Act 126 (Mandated Reporter Training Certificate)

Compensation:

Salary will be regionally competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and board-established criteria.
