Job Description
Supervisor of Special Education Position Summary:
This is a supervisory level position responsible for oversight of Special Education Programs by geographic area and/or exceptionality. Benefits The initial salary for this position is firmly set at $87,295 260 Day Work Year 15 PAID holidays 25 Vacation Days, 5 Personal Days, 13 Sick Days, 2 Mental Health Days per fiscal year. Full medical dental and vision benefits are effective the first day of employment with a monthly premium share of only $75.Required Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania Supervisor of Special Education certificate or K-12 Principal Certificate Five years' experience with special education students Thorough understanding of all state and federal requirements for special educationDesired Qualifications:
Experience with School Wide Positive Behavior Support Speech and Language background with PA certification Experience with low incidence populationEssential Functions and Responsibilities:
Supervise and evaluate assigned teaching and paraprofessional staff. Participate in the interviewing of prospective employees and provide recommendations for employment. Oversee the procedural compliance of all pupil placements (from point of referral to IEP development / implementation) and to transition to adult life. Oversee class lists for child count accuracy. Present at workshops and meetings and serve on committees, upon request. Participate in meetings to develop IU/district goals and budget contracts. Oversee the requisitioning of materials for new and existing programs. Evaluate annually the facilities utilized. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and Assistant Director of Special Education.Similar remote jobs
