The Pathway School, Jeffersonville, PA About The Pathway School Located on a beautiful 12-acre campus in Jeffersonville, PA, The Pathway School is a leading nonprofit special education provider serving students ages 5-21 from over 50 regional school districts and charter schools. Our innovative, therapeutic, and student-centered model is nationally recognized for delivering high-quality academic, social, and life skills programming that prepares students for independence and success beyond Pathway. Position Overview The Assistant Principal is a key instructional leader responsible for strengthening special education programming, advancing instructional excellence, and supporting staff and student success across assigned programs. This role combines hands-on leadership with systems-level impact, ensuring effective implementation of curriculum, MTSS, and PBIS frameworks while fostering a collaborative and data-driven school culture. Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and evaluate instructional staff to promote high-quality teaching and continuous improvement Lead implementation of curriculum, instructional practices, and evidence-based strategies aligned to student needs Oversee MTSS and PBIS frameworks, ensuring consistent, data-driven interventions and supports Monitor student progress and support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional outcomes Support master scheduling and operational planning to optimize service delivery Conduct classroom observations and provide targeted instructional feedback Support professional development aligned with school and program goals Collaborate with administrators, clinicians, and related service providers to support student success Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and mission-driven school culture Qualifications Valid Pennsylvania administrative certification (Principal or Curriculum Supervisor) Experience in special education strongly preferred Strong knowledge of instructional best practices, MTSS, and data-driven decision-making Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proven ability to coach, evaluate, and support instructional staff Compliance & Requirements Must meet all Act 168 and background clearance requirements (PA Criminal, Child Abuse, FBI, TB, and drug screening) Valid PA driver's license required Physical Requirements This role requires active engagement in a school environment, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting or physical intervention as needed.
