Job Summary Reporting to the Director of the Center for Global Engagement and Senior International Officer, the Assistant Director for International Students and Scholar Services will serve as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Officer (RO). The Assistant Director will lead the comprehensive immigration advising for international students, scholars, and their dependents. The Assistant Director will also support the Director of the Center for Global Engagement with the day-to-day operations. Responsibilities• As the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Officer (RO) serve as the institutional immigration compliance and reporting lead. SEVIS/Sunapsis management and provide comprehensive immigration advising and education to international students and scholars. Develop, implement, and continuously improve policies, procedures, and communications. Train and consult campus stakeholders on immigration compliance. Coordinate cross-campus services, health insurance, and crisis response. Support CGE operations, planning, and growth initiatives, international student and scholar experience programming. Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree To comply with Homeland Security regulations, one must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident. One or more years of experience serving as a Designated School Official (DSO) at an accredited institution of higher education and advising international students. Experience with SEVIS and any web-based International Student & Scholar Management (ISSM) software platform, such as Sunapsis or Terra Dotta. Desired Qualifications• Master's degree One year experience as a Principle Designated School Official (PDSO) and or Responsible Officer (RO). Modes of Work Hybrid:
The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
