Assistant Principal Secondary School Position Type:
Leadership Role with a Hybrid Schedule. 11 month contract with on-site at the school 2 days per week(Tuesday and Thursday) for in-person leadership, collaboration and community presence. Off-site/remote 3 days per week during set hours for planning, staff support, administrative tasks and communication. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for school events, family engagement, or leadership responsibilities. Goal is to be Assistant Principal for one year and transition to Secondary Principal in year two which will be a full-time role with full-time pay.

Secondary Principal Position Overview The Assistant Principal supports the Lead Principal in providing effective leadership, organization, and daily operations for Legacy Prep School. This role assists with instructional leadership, student support, teacher support, family communication, and the implementation of school policies and procedures. The Assistant Principal should be a dedicated educational leader who values academic excellence, strong relationships, and a Christ-centered approach to serving students and families within a hybrid homeschool environment. Essential ResponsibilitiesSchool Leadership & Administration Assist the Lead Principal in the daily operation and management of the school. Support the implementation of school policies, procedures, and expectations. Serve as a visible and supportive presence for students, families, and staff. Assist with school-wide planning, events, and initiatives. Help ensure the school environment reflects Legacy Prep School's mission, values, and commitment to excellence. Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Secondary Principal as assigned. Teacher Support & Instructional Leadership Support teachers in maintaining a positive, productive, and engaging learning environment. Assist with classroom observations, teacher feedback, and professional growth opportunities. Help monitor curriculum implementation and academic expectations. Provide support to teachers regarding classroom management, student needs, and instructional strategies. Assist with onboarding and mentoring new teachers and staff members. Student Support & Discipline Support student behavior management and help maintain a safe and respectful school environment. Work with students, parents, and teachers to address academic, behavioral, and social concerns. Assist in developing and implementing student support plans when needed. Promote positive relationships among students and encourage a culture of responsibility and respect. Family & Community Relations Assist with parent communication and relationship building. Partner with families to support student success. Help address parent questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Support school events, activities, and community-building opportunities. Operational Support Assist with scheduling, organization, and coordination of school activities. Support substitute coordination and daily staffing needs. Help ensure building procedures and safety expectations are followed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in education, educational leadership, or a related field. Proven ability to lead and inspire faculty, students, and families in a collaborative, growth-oriented culture. Strong organizational and communication skills, with a track record of strategic planning and program development. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or higher in education, educational leadership, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in a hybrid, private, or independent school setting. Experience in a hybrid, private, or homeschool education environment. Teaching certification or advanced education training. Experience supporting school growth, accreditation efforts, or program development.
