Full-time PEI Supervisor of Special Education The Allegheny Intermediate Unit is looking for an experienced leader to support our Preschool Early Intervention (PEI) program.
In this role, you'll help ensure preschoolers receive high-quality special education services while supporting staff and collaborating with families.
What you will do:
Supervise and support professional and paraprofessional staff serving preschool students with developmental delays and disabilities
Monitor educational services and staff caseloads to ensure compliance and quality programming
Serve as the Local Education Agency (LEA) representative during IEP meetings
Support kindergarten transition planning for students and families
Collaborate with administrators and staff to provide professional development and coaching
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and mentoring new staff
Build strong partnerships with families, school districts, and community agencies
Promote positive student outcomes through effective leadership and data-driven decision making What you will bring to the
AIU:
Pennsylvania Certification in Special Education, Speech and Language Impairment, or Early Intervention
PA Supervisory Certification in Special Education
Master's degree in special education or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in special education or early intervention
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and support diverse teams
Knowledge of state and federal special education regulations
