Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Position Summary The Central Falls School District seeks an innovative, energetic, bold educational manager to join a team of administrators at the Central Falls High School and district. The Assistant Principal works alongside administrators to ensure the school's academics and climate and culture goals are priorities in the support of students, faculty and staff.

Promote high school diploma completion that meets the diverse needs of Central Falls High School students, ensuring equitable access, empowerment through individualized support, and excellence in academic achievement — in alignment with the district's core values of Equity, Empowerment, and Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote the success of all students by leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of teaching and learning, aligned to district priorities and the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP), with a focus on improving graduation outcomes. Provide instructional leadership through regular classroom observations, actionable feedback, and staff evaluations (CFTU, C-94) to strengthen teaching and learning. Supervise and support the Guidance Department, Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), and College Access Programs to ensure students are prepared for postsecondary success. Oversee extended learning and credit attainment programs (e.g., Credit Recovery, G2S, ELOs, Portfolio Ramp-Up, Summer School, ALPs), including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and monitoring student progress. Lead secondary school registration and scheduling, including development of the master schedule and targeted supports for overage and under-credited students. Coordinate and manage state assessment operations, ensuring compliance with all district and state testing protocols. Foster a safe, inclusive, and student-centered school culture by maintaining high expectations for behavior, attendance, and engagement, and by implementing restorative practices (or willingness to be trained). Promote family and community engagement, responding to diverse cultural and linguistic needs through outreach efforts such as PTO collaboration, community events, and partnerships. Serve as a visible and ethical leader, modeling integrity, fairness, and professionalism while building a positive and supportive school climate. Engage community partners and serve as liaison for key services, including College Access Programs Ensure effective school operations and supervision, including building coverage, coordination of support services (safety, facilities, and operations), and staff coverage in the absence of the Executive Secretary. Monitor student safety systems, including Securly alerts, and respond appropriately to support student well-being. Facilitate and support School Improvement Teams (SIT) and Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) to drive data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Support implementation of Proficiency-Based Graduation Requirements (PBGR) to ensure equitable and rigorous pathways to graduation. Remain current in educational research and best practices through ongoing professional learning. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Principal.
