Attendance Clerk/Office Assistant Location:

Days School Year:
2026-2027 Reports to Principal Position will be open until filled.
Education Level:
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, High School diploma required.
Responsibilities:
Communicates with parents, students, faculty, and staff in person, by telephone, or via letter to provide information on a variety of attendance issues and to meet district and state truancy requirements. Ensures accuracy of attendance records, including verification of forgeries and truancies to comply with State laws governing attendance accounting. Maintains a variety of digital and paper attendance records, schedules, and files (e.g., contact and telephone logs, student attendance, school calendars, etc.) to provide reliable information in compliance with district policies. Prepares a variety of reports and written materials (e.g., standardized and special attendance reports, letters to parents, etc.) to convey information regarding school and/or district activities and procedures. Processes documents and materials (e.g., attendance records, student placement, disciplinary and/or suspension notices, etc.) to disseminate information to appropriate parties. Responds to inquiries from a variety of individuals (e.g., faculty/staff, parents, probation officers, other district/school personnel, and/or students, etc.) to provide information and/or directions as may be required. Assists other personnel (e.g., administrative assistant, principal, assistant principals, teachers, etc.) as may be required to support them in the completion of their work activities.
