About Us:
Missouri Valley Christian Academy is a K-8 non-denominational private Christian school committed to fostering academic excellence, spiritual growth, and character development through education.
Position Overview:
Serve as the educational, spiritual, and operational leader of the school. This role oversees daily operations, ensures strong academic instruction, supports faculty and staff, and cultivates a vibrant Christ-centered culture. Additionally, the Principal/Administrator plays a key role in donor relations, community engagement, and advancing the long-term sustainability of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily K-8 operations, including scheduling, discipline, supervision, and safety. Lead and support teachers in curriculum planning, instructional practices, and professional growth. Oversee K-8 academic programs to ensure excellence and continuous improvement. Promote spiritual formation through chapel oversight, Bible integration, and character-development initiatives. Maintain open, effective communication with parents, staff, church leadership, and the school board. Manage student admissions, placement, and academic/personal support plans. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, state guidelines, and school policies (if applicable). Steward the school's financial resources with integrity by collaborating with board leadership on budgeting, financial planning, and wise resource management. Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective donors. Partner with the board and development team to support fundraising initiatives, capital campaigns, and school advancement goals. Represent the school in community settings to increase visibility and expand donor outreach. Communicate the school's mission, impact, and needs clearly and compellingly to supporters. Assist with donor events, appreciation efforts, and stewardship activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with Administration Certification (preferred) Previous administration experience, preferably in a Chrisitan school Strong Christian faith and commitment to integrating biblical values into education. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
