Description/Notes:
The Chief of Schools will provide leadership to support the District mission, vision, and goals of the Board and Superintendent through oversight of school administration and effective implementation of instructional programs and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree in educational administration or a field appropriate to the assignment Doctorate degree preferred Valid Texas Mid-Management or Principal Certification or Superintendent Certification or out of state equivalent certification and the ability to obtain
Texas Certification Special Knowledge/Skills:
Deep instructional leadership expertise Executive-level coaching and supervision skill Systems thinking and organizational alignment capability Data-driven performance management Strategic planning and execution discipline Commitment to equity and high expectations Ability to build cross-department coherence at the cabinet level Clear andpellingmunication with stakeholders
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional leadership roles as a principal or above Minimum of 5 years of experience at the district senior leadership level as director or above Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to implement policy and procedures Strongmunication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Salary Range:
$154,742 - $184,216 dependent upon experience Full benefits package
