Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

With respect to Diagnostic Services for students, the Diagnostician will:

• Potentially provide a diagnostic evaluation of students in need of a full educational battery to include but not exclusive to: Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale V (WISC-V), Wechsler Individual Achievement Test III (WIAT III), Test of Word Reading Efficiency, Fluency Portion of the Woodcock-Johnson Achievement Test III, Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing-2, Test of Information Skills, Behavior Assessment System-2, Integrated Visual and Auditory Continues Performance Test 2, Brown ADD Scales, Barsch Learning Style Inventory, Woodcock-Johnson IV Complete Battery Plus, OWLS-II Comprehensive Form A.

Dyslexia Resources to include:

GORT-5, WRMT, C-TOPP, TWS, KBIT-2

• Provide a diagnostic evaluation of students needing a 3-year re-evaluation
• All tests administered will be subject to approval by supervisors at Legacy Christian Academy and at the discretion of the supervisor
• Assist admissions in the admission portion of a diagnostic evaluation. Provide diagnostic resources for our Admissions needs and evaluation of prospective students With respect to the Faculty and Staff, the Diagnostician will:
• Counsels and assists teachers toward the goal of academic success for all students.
• Informs and assists teachers in their role in training and educating students.
• Serves as the primary liaison between faculty and students and parents regarding evaluations and testing. With respect to the Senior Director of Student Services, the Diagnostician will:
• Reports to and is directly supervised by the Senior Director of Student Services
• Meets with the Senior Director of Student Services regularly
• Assists the Senior Director of Student Services with administrative responsibilities as needed
• Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Senior Director of Students Services Expectations
• acknowledge Christ as Savior and support the school's Statement of Faith and Philosophy Statement;
• be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions towards others. This includes being committed to God's Biblical standards for sexual conduct (Luke 6:40).
• possess evidence of competence in area of instruction, or other adequate preparation, background, or experience as determined by the school administrator;
• have a working knowledge of and follow LCA's Employee Handbook, Parent & Student Handbook.
• sign and live by the school's Lifestyle Statement and Moral Integrity Statement as a condition for employment and continued employment in this ministry;
• maintain confidentiality in the operation of the classroom and the school;
• refrain from unwholesome talk, including profanity, slang (language widely used and accepted, but not appropriate for godliness) or jokes that may be offensive;
• place his/her school ministry ahead of other jobs or volunteer activities; and
• maintain a personal appearance that models cleanliness, modesty, and good taste consistent with school policy.
