Job Description

Department :
Academic Advising Salary :
$12.00 per hour
Duties:
  • Performs front reception duties
  • Creates and types basic Word documents
  • Performs data entry
  • Assists students with class enrollment using MyStudentCenter, EAB Navigate, and other UHD platforms
  • Supports the advising center staff with administrative tasks related to academic planning and student outreach
  • May assist with First Time in College (FTIC) and transfer orientation sessions (Must be available to work Saturdays if needed)
  • Maintains communication with students via email, telephone, and in-person, as directed by advising staff
  • Assists with preparing materials for advising workshops, orientations, or college events
  • Supports other administrative functions as assigned by advising staff or department leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Students must be dependable
  • Students must have good computer skills
  • Students must have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Must be familiar with MyStudentCenter, EAB Navigate, and other UHD platforms
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced administrative environment
  • Experience working in an administrative office setting
  • Experience working with Windows Office Suite programs
  • Familiarity with College of Science and Technology degree plans is preferred
Qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Must have been awarded Federal Work-Study from the Office of Financial Aid Required Attachments by
