The Principal at Jubilee Academies serves as the instructional leader of campus, responsible for coaching and developing teachers, leading team members to achieve ambitious goals, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. This role involves managing instructional programs, overseeing campus operations, and supervising personnel to ensure high standards of instructional service and compliance with district policies. The principal provides leadership that supports the success of all instructional programs and the effective operation of all campus activities, maintaining a focus on achieving outstanding educational outcomes for all students. Our principals are passionate about student success and lead with clarity, purpose, and integrity.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree, required Master's in Education, preferred Valid Texas Mid-Management / Principal Certification, preferred. At least three years of teaching and three years of Assistant Principal experience is required. 1. Instructional Leadership Implements strong systems for data-driven instruction. Ensures lesson internalization and aligned daily instruction through regular coaching, feedback, and walkthroughs. Leads weekly PLCs focused on planning, data analysis, and intervention planning. Builds teacher capacity through ongoing professional development and personalized coaching. Monitors lesson quality and student mastery using formative assessments. 2. Positive School Culture Builds and maintains a safe, supportive, and joyful learning environment. Sets clear campus expectations for behavior, academic focus, and respect. Builds strong and professional relationships with students, families, and staff. Is visible and present during d r iveline to ensure safety and positive start/end to the day. Is Visible to lead Jubilation Models professionalism and the Jubilee Lasting Leadership Values daily. 3. Family and Community Engagement Sends monthly parent newsletters with school updates, celebrations, and upcoming events. Plans and hosts frequent family/community engagement eventson a consistent schedule year-round (including summers), including student performances and celebrations of learning to foster open communication and strengthen school-family relationships. Engages families as partners in student learning through regular communication, surveys, and involvement opportunities. 4. Staff Culture and Communication Sends a weekly staff newsletter to share priorities, celebrations, updates, and action items. Holds regular one-on-ones and team meetings to foster two-way communication and ownership. Celebrates staff wins and contributions regularly. Coaches and evaluates teachers and campus leaders with transparency and growth mindset. 5. Operational Excellence Implements clear systems for attendance, safety, arrival/dismissal, and transitions. Puts systems in place and monitors ADA to ensure campus ADA meets campus goals. Reviews and follows up on data (attendance, discipline, academic) weekly to drive decisions. Collaborates with APO and office staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Plans proactively for calendar events, testing, and compliance deadlines. 6. Strategic Leadership & Goal Setting Sets clear campus goals aligned to Jubilee priorities and TEA requirements. Engages in root cause analysis and strategic planning based on performance data. Creates a campus culture where all staff understand their impact on student achievement. Holds self and team accountable for results, with high expectations for all.
