DESCRIPTION
The Director of Educational Opportunity works under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Student and Staff Wellness. The director is responsible for leading the work of equal opportunity, including Title VI and Title IX. The primary duty is to coordinate the district's compliance with Title VI legislation to prevent discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin and coordinate compliance with Title IX legislation to investigate harassment and prevent discrimination based on gender/sex. The director will also assist team members with supporting students' academic, social, emotional, physical, mental, and behavioral needs. Stewardship will include multi-tiered learning and support in the following areas: prevention, case management, bullying, and grant writing. The director will coordinate and collaborate with other departments to engage in an integrated approach to help students and staff thrive.
QUALIFICATIONS
Credentials Appropriate administrator license authorizing service as an administrator/supervisor Education and experience 1. Master's degree required 2. Previous Alpine School District administrator experience and/or experience in district-level student services is preferred.
