Athletic Director James Monroe High School Job Description:

Assist with the administrative duties of JMHS athletic program, including administrative coverage of athletic events. Schedule/Re-schedule all officials Responsible for all scheduling of athletic events. Attend all WVSSAC meetings and clinics required. Submit required WVSSAC coaching card applications. Ensure WVSSAC calendar is followed for all sports. Responsible for checking eligibility for all sports within the timeline set by the WVSSAC. Ensure all away sporting events are entered into Bus Hive prior to the season starting. Enter all canceled/rescheduled games through Bus Hive. Notify the Transportation Director immediately upon cancellation of away athletic events. Oversee fundraising activities to ensure that facilities, uniforms and materials are provided equitably to each sport, meeting the guidelines of Title IX. Participate in hiring process for coaches. Serve as a liaison between the coaching staff and administration. Have a preseason meeting with all coaches to notify of updates on rules and regulations, collection of all paperwork, review safety protocols, and review purchasing process/cash collecting with accounts payable. Submit all action plans to WVSSAC according to their deadlines. Activities are to be completed outside the regular school day.

Qualifications:

Must be an employee of the Board of Education based at JMHS and successfully complete the interview process. Administrative degree preferred.
