Major Function/Purpose of the
Position:
Manage academic administrative services and projects for the Dean's Office and assigned departmental programs in the School of Communication and the Arts (SCA). This is an on-campus position.
Work Location:
Virginia Beach, VA Essential duties include:
Essential Functions:
Assist with communicating with stakeholders, including students in assigned degree programs; Assist students in the assigned degree programs to navigate problems with advising, degree planning, and registration; Assist with course monitoring for content and engagement in assigned degree programs; Assist with maintaining and proofing course schedules and rotations in assigned degree programs; Assist with adjunct instructor assignments and load monitoring in assigned degree programs; Assist with program assessment in assigned degree programs; Effectuate adjunct contracts for assigned degree programs;
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required Proven track record of providing excellent service Superior experience with Microsoft Office software 3-5 years of professional office environment experience, preferably within a higher education setting Experience with university technology such as Genisys, Banner, Canvas and Cognos required Candidates must have: Commitment to excellence and the vision/mission of SCA Demonstrated integrity , and personal, emotional, and spiritual maturity Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative to foresee departmental needs Sharp attention to details Ability to learn, innovate , and adapt to new workflows and processes. Ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality Excellent people and communication skills Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and details in a fast-paced environment.
