Job Description

The Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union (SVSU) is seeking the ideal candidate to assume the role of Mount Anthony Union High School Principal. The Principal shall use leadership, organizational, supervisory and management skills to promote the effective and efficient operations of the school within Board goals and policies, and to direct the delivery of educational services to maximize student learning.

Candidate will provide collaborative leadership in the following areas: Ability to lead and facilitate collaborative professional teams to develop and meet school effectiveness goals Provide a safe and secure educational environment, including behavior management Promote a positive and supportive school climate that fosters academic success for all students Ensure implementation of approved curriculum, research-based instructional strategies, and assessments to meet student achievement goals Provide professional development opportunities that align with the School/District strategic plans In conjunction with administrators, interview candidates and make recommendations to the Superintendent for hiring highly qualified staff Develop positive collaborative relationships between families, staff, school, and community
