Job Description

About the Role Are you an emerging education leader who thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment? As Assistant Director, you'll play a vital supporting role in the day-to-day heartbeat of our school — working side by side with the Director and On-Site Operator to ensure every child, family, and staff member experiences the very best we have to offer. This is a role for someone who is organized, proactive, and genuinely passionate about early childhood education. You'll be trusted with real responsibility, given room to grow, and supported every step of the way. What You'll Do Classroom & Program Support Assist in monitoring classroom quality and consistency, ensuring every learning environment reflects our high standards. Support teachers day-to-day — stepping in where needed, offering encouragement, and helping resolve challenges as they arise. Help coordinate curriculum-related documentation and follow up on outstanding submissions or feedback. Family & Community Engagement Serve as a warm, welcoming point of contact for families - answering questions, addressing concerns, and building lasting relationships. Support enrollment efforts including tours, follow-up communication, and onboarding new families into the school community. Assist with community outreach initiatives and local events that strengthen our school's presence and reputation. Operations & Administration Support daily scheduling and ratio management, helping ensure classrooms are always appropriately staffed and compliant. Assist with documentation audits — children's files, faculty records, health forms — keeping everything accurate and up to date. Help track and respond to family feedback through platforms like Medallia or Google, flagging trends and escalating where needed. Participate in admin and enrollment meetings, contributing ideas and providing updates on key priorities. Communication & Culture Model professionalism, positivity, and care in every interaction with staff, families, and leadership. Act as a reliable communication link between teachers and the administrative team. Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture where every team member feels supported and valued. What We're Looking For You're a motivated, detail-oriented professional who is ready to step into leadership — or take your existing experience to the next level.
You bring:
Experience in an early childhood education setting, ideally in an administrative teacher capacity. A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or actively working toward one). Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with calm and confidence. A people-first approach — you communicate clearly, listen actively, and follow through. Familiarity with licensing, compliance, and accreditation standards is a plus. A genuine commitment to the mission of early childhood education and a desire to grow within it. Why This Role? The Assistant Director position is the perfect launchpad for an educator who is ready to lead. You'll gain hands-on experience across every dimension of school operations from curriculum and compliance to enrollment and family engagement, all while being mentored by an experienced leadership team. If you're ready to grow, lead, and make a difference every single day, we want to hear from you.
