Location:
Special Services Lake Washington School District is looking for qualified candidates for the position of Director, Special Services . This is a full-time, year round administrator position located at the District Resource Center in Redmond. This position begins July 1, 2026.
Position Summary:
The Special Services Director assists the Executive Director of Special Services in the leadership of special education programs consistent with federal and state laws, rules and regulations and district policies and procedures. The Special Services Director assists the Executive Director for the administration of school specific programs and services that allow students requiring special education services to access general education curriculum in the least restrictive environment while meeting their individual educational needs. Qualifications:
Current Washington State Administrator Certificate with Principal or Program Administrator endorsement Three year special education teaching/administrative or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the work and to meet the certification requirements. Demonstrated knowledge of special needs issues including laws, regulations, and professional practices and a willingness to keep abreast of same.
Salary:
Central Administrator, Salary Level 12. Step 1 $191,355 - Step 2 $195,260 (per 2025-2026 schedul e) - 261 days. This is an exempt position. Full benefit package available.
Selection Procedure:

If selected to interview, Round 1 will take place on June 8th, 2026 . Round 2 is schedule for June 12th, 2026.
