The College of Applied and Natural Sciences (CANS) serves undergraduate and graduate students through programs that integrate academic excellence with practical application. The college is committed to supporting student success from admission through graduation while fostering a strong sense of community and engagement. What We Need The College of Applied and Natural Sciences is seeking a temporary Programs Manager to provide immediate support for it's graduate student programs and related college operations. This is a full-time, temporary position with an anticipated end date of June 26, 2026 . The programs manager role focuses on supporting student onboarding, advising, and program coordination during a high-need period. This role plays a vital part in graduate student recruitment and onboarding, student success and retention, and overall program administration. While the primary focus is on graduate student populations, the Programs Manager also collaborates on broader college-level initiatives that enhance the student experience and support college priorities. This temporary role supports program continuity during a transitional period. This position requires someone who can step in quickly, work independently, and support a variety of student-facing and administrative functions with professionalism and attention to detail. What You'll Do This role will provide support across several key areas of program operations. Responsibilities will vary based on immediate needs, and the individual in this role may not perform all duties listed below at all times. Flexibility and adaptability are essential. Student Onboarding & Support Serve as a point of contact for graduate students, assisting with onboarding, registration, and general program questions Support orientation activities and help ensure a smooth transition for new and continuing students Provide basic academic guidance and connect students with appropriate campus resources Student Success & Communication Support student engagement efforts through communications, events, and outreach Assist with tracking student progress and responding to student needs or concerns Help coordinate workshops, events, or activities that support student success Program Coordination & Administration Maintain student records and assist with data tracking in university systems Support coordination across faculty, admissions, and college leadership Assist with scheduling, communications, and general program operations Recruitment & General Support Provide support for graduate recruitment and admissions-related activities as needed Assist with a variety of program and administrative tasks to support college priorities What You Bring Experience in higher education, student services, advising, program coordination, or a related field preferred but not required Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and program requirements Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment A service-oriented mindset with a commitment to supporting student success

Compensation & Position Details Pay:
$30.00 per hour
