Appointment Type Full Time Description The Associate Principal will be responsible for assisting the building Principal with managing academics, guidance, pupil services, student activities and other school programs or services. This position is an active member of the administration team and articulates a clear philosophy and shared vision of learning. Candidates must have knowledge and experience working within the high school philosophy as well as a passion for working with 14-18 year-olds. Knowledge and background of moving toward a more innovative model of schooling to prepare students for college, careers, and life is also required. This is a 12 month position with an expected start date of July 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary range depending on experience and qualifications, as well as a comprehensive benefits plan based on a total compensation philosophy. The Howard-Suamico School District offers highly desirable benefits as part of our total compensation package.
These include:
Substantial leave time including 20 days of PTO eligible for potential monetary payout and 20 days of vacation annually as well as 11 paid Holidays Excellent and affordable health, vision, and dental benefits (health plan premiums start at $29.46 for single, $67.40 for family each pay period). Benefit eligible employees who opt out of medical insurance receive $6,000 cash-in-lieu. Onsite clinic for insured staff and their families ($5 fee). Supports the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision for optimal learning that is authentic, innovative, connected and inspired.
Enhancing School Climate:
Advocates, nurtures, and sustains a school atmosphere and climate that is conducive to high quality student learning.
Operational Management:
Ensures the management of the organization, finances, policies, procedures, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective school learning environment.
Student Leadership and Development:
Develops relationships, guides, and empowers students to reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications:
Required
Education:
Master's or Professional Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Administration, or similar field.
Licensure:
Valid Wisconsin Administrator License Certificates, Certifications, or Other Training:
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
Previous Work-Related Experience:
4+ years of work-related experience. Preferred
