Provide instructional support within the school building; Help create a climate conducive to teaching and learning. Serve on PLC's and other school curriculum committees and meetings as designated by the principal; Implement the approved school discipline and positive behavior support plan as approved by WVDE and Barbour County Schools; Assist principal to implement a system to monitor student progress; Implement and maintain school improvement process; Foster good public and employee relations; Evaluate personnel under his/her supervision at the direction of the principal; Maintain professional work habits; Maintain and upgrade his/her professional skills; Cooperate with the principal and central office staff in securing qualified personnel, selecting materials and equipment, conducting needs assessments, preparing budgets and establishing staff development; Monitors and maintains the cleanliness, care, and management of the faculty and grounds; Represents school administration in attendance meetings, SAT's, IEP, 504 meetings, and court proceedings on students. Assists in identifying at risk students and potential drop outs; Assists in implementing the approved emergency plan for the school; Assists in implementing a secure and effective system of state assessment; Assists in the development of the master schedule and scheduling of students; Perform other duties and functions as assigned by the principal; Establish and maintain effective communication with the school community; Ensure all accreditation standards are met on a yearly basis; Establish a school climate that establishes an atmosphere of fairness, integrity and honesty for students, parents and staff; Ensure that school rules, procedures and expectations are written and clearly communicated to students, parents and staff; Coordinate and supervise co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at the school; Attend all required trainings (in/or out of state) related to all aspects of positionAdditional Specialized Training/Skills:
Previous experience as an administrator preferred Training in Policy 5310 and previous experience with evaluation of personnel/New Evaluation System Training in Policy 2525 Trained in Policy 2320 Trained in Policy 2322 Training in Policy 2510 Applicable Policies related to SB359 Demonstrated ability to organize and lead a PLC process for school improvement Experience managing a school-wide Title I programApplication Procedure:
