Full-Time Join Our Team Ethos Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and highly motivated 5th Grade Teacher to join our growing school community. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, believes all students can succeed, and is eager to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that prepares students for future success. As a 5th Grade Teacher, you will serve as the primary classroom leader responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering positive student relationships, and ensuring students meet or exceed Arizona Academic Standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities, Instruction and Student Achievement Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with Arizona State Standards. Create differentiated learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of students. Utilize assessment data to guide instruction and improve student achievement. Maintain high academic expectations and support students in reaching their full potential. Implement accommodations and modifications as required through student support plans and IEPs. Classroom Management Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment. Model and reinforce school-wide expectations and procedures. Address student behavior consistently, respectfully, and effectively. Promote student responsibility, accountability, and character development. Communication and Collaboration Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with fellow teachers, intervention staff, administration, and support personnel. Participate in grade-level planning and professional learning communities. Build positive relationships with students, families, and community stakeholders. Assessment and Reporting Administer and analyze classroom, district, and state assessments. Complete report cards, progress reports, 45-day screenings, and other required documentation. Maintain accurate student records and attendance information. Use student data to inform instructional decisions and interventions. Professional Responsibilities Attend all required staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events. Participate in school-wide initiatives and programs. Supervise students during assigned duties, including arrival, dismissal, recess, and other designated times. Support the mission, vision, and values of Ethos Academy. Perform additional duties as assigned by administration. Qualifications Required Arizona Teaching Certificate or ability to obtain certification. Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families. Preferred Previous elementary teaching experience, preferably in upper elementary grades. Experience in a charter school environment.. Knowledge of Arizona Academic Standards and assessment practices.
